A trail of stolen meat has led to a long list of charges for a pair of Windsor residents.
Just after 9pm on Friday December 14, a commercial vehicle left running and unattended with more than $5,000 in meat inside, was reported stolen from the 600-block of Glengarry Ave.
The following morning, police were called to the 800-block of Langlois Ave. for a vehicle blocking an alley.
Officers determined the vehicle in question was the one stolen the night before and discovered all the meat was missing.
Keys and an empty box of meat were found nearby — officers spotted another empty box and were able to follow the trail to a home in the 1000-block of Cataraqui St.
More meat as well as a stolen motorcycle, e-bike and a prohibited weapon were found at the residence.
Two suspects were arrested — 36-year-old Mitchell Larocque and 29-year-old Claudia Bowes.
Windsor Police is reminding the public to "lock it or lose it."
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
