Detroit has a confirmed case of the measles.
Health officials in the city say a resident who recently returned from overseas travel contracted the highly contagious disease.
The person went to the emergency department Tuesday of Children's Hospital of Michigan as well as a physician's office in suburban Macomb County.
This is at least the 46th in Michigan this year — most have been in Detroit's suburbs with one reported in Traverse City.
The number is the highest since there were 65 cases in 1991.
