The Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation is getting a big financial boost courtesy of the 28th annual McGregor Music Festival.
This year's event raised more than $39,000 in support of the men's health program and patient assistance fund.
Foundation Executive Director Houida Kassem says a big thank you needs to go out to Festival Chair Sue LeClair and her team. "Sue LeClair has been doing this for almost 30 years. We love her for everything that she does. It's not just Sue, it's the countless volunteers that come out that make it happen. It makes a difference at the cancer centre foundation when you've got people like Sue who take time out of their own schedule to make a difference in the lives of those who have been diagnosed with cancer. We couldn't do it without her."
Festival Chair Sue LeClair says helping out the cancer centre is always an easy choice. "Everyone is touched by cancer and you know it's great to see people come out and support the event. All the county people come out to support and raise funds so their loved ones can have the top notch equipment that we need in Windsor."
Over the past 28 years, the McGregor Music Fest has raised more than $215,000 for the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation.
