The golden arches are coming to Lakeshore.
"They are locating just west of Belle River on County Road 22," says Mayor Tom Bain. "So it's an ideal location as far as having public in the area and easy access."
The proposed restaurant will be discussed at Tuesday night's council meeting.
Bain says there are some issues council has to address such as noise and traffic.
He says residents have been asking for a fast-food restaurant.
"It's something we've had certainly lots of requests for to get a fast food chain and we're exciting to see McDonald's coming in," says Bain.
He's confident the project will move forward.
"We held an open house and there were some issue brought forward by the residents but in the interim staff has been working on responding to those concerns and I feel that the huge benefits that it will bring to the area, it should be good," he says.
No word yet when McDonald's plans to open its Lakeshore location.
In late June, Bain announced the town's first hotel development.
A Holiday Inn Express and Suites will be built off Manning Road on Amy Croft Drive.
