Brandon McBride has entered the Canadian track and field record book.   The 24-year-old Windsor native beat a 10-year-old Canadian record en route to a silver medal in the 800 metres on Friday at the Monaco Diamond League meet.   McBride's time of 1:43.20 seconds topped Garry Reed's run of 1:43.69 set on the same track in 2008.   McBride finished eighth in the 800 metres at the world championships in 2017 and was 14th at the 2016 Rio Olympics.   He was a two-time NCAA champ in the 800 metres at Mississippi State University before turning pro.
