Auston Matthews had two goals and two assists and John Tavares also scored twice to lead the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 6-1 rout of the Florida Panthers at Scotiabank Arena Thursday night in NHL action.
Matthews had his second four-point game of the season, as did Morgan Rielly, who with four assists became the first defenceman to reach 40 points in the league this season.
Mitch Marner added a goal and two assists, Nazem Kadri had a goal and an assist and Frederik Andersen made 25 saves.
The Leafs announced before the game that winger Zach Hyman was out with an ankle injury suffered in Tuesday night's win in New Jersey. Hyman will undergo an MRI to determine the extent of the injury.
