Kylie Masse has qualified for the 100m backstroke final at FINA.
The LaSalle native swam had the fastest time of 56.19, her closest competitor is a swimmer from Austrialia who had a time of 56.44.
In her morning heat, Masse swam 56.02.
She says it feels incredible to swim in front of her home town crowd.
Masse will compete in the finals today (Wednesday) from lane 4 at 8:01pm.
