Windsor's Randa Markos steps back into the Octagon Saturday night in Nashville when she fights Angela Hill.
Markos is ranked 16th in the world in the straw-weight division while Hill, a New York native is rated 17th.
Randa however is listed as a slight underdog, as she takes a record of 8-6-1 into the Octagon, and is coming off a majority draw in her last fight against Marina Rodriguez.
Markos, who started her career as a wrestler at St Joseph's High School in Windsor says she's been busy preparing for this fight.
"It's definitely a balanced camp, but I've stayed away from kicking because it's not my strong suit, but I've joined a Muay Thai gym and it's also an MMA gym, so we've been working on everything and I'm adding kicks to my game."
Markos says she's been working to expand her style.
"Along with the punches, it's going to be something different for me, and you've likely not seen that from me before. It's been a mix of everything and you've got to stay sharp on everything and you just can't focus on one thing, so adding the kicks in there will be something different for me."
This is all part of UFC Fight Night 148, with the main event between Stephen Thompson and Anthony Pettis.
