The lineup is set to help celebrate 150 years of service for Windsor Police.
Several events are planned from May 1-5 including a police memorial service, parade, equipment display, a gala as well as the dedication of the Senior Constable John Atkinson Overpass near St. Clair College which is tentatively set for May 5th.
The dedication still needs ministry approval.
"It will trigger a lot of emotions that day because it is something that is typically reserved for the OPP with the bridges," says Windsor Police Superintendent Ted Hickey. "We have the opportunity to dedicate one to John so it is dear to our hearts."
May 5, 2017 will mark 11 years that Senior Constable Atkinson was shot and killed while investigating a drug deal.
From May 1-June 30, there will be a Windsor Police Service Historical Exhibit at the Art Gallery of Windsor.
"Pictures, memorabilia, old badges, anything we can get our hands on and we are putting it out to the public that if anyone has any historical pictures or equipment from years past and who want to share it, they should get a hold of us," says Hickey.
In 1867, the local police force began with a chief constable and three special constables.
There will also be an opportunity to tours Windsor police headquarters.
