Police in northern Manitoba are still focusing on a small town in the search for two teenagers, suspected in the deaths of three people in northern B.C.
A manhunt involving police from across Western Canada and Ontario continues Friday after RCMP say there two confirmed sightings on Monday, in the Gillam area of 18-year-old Bryer Schmegelsky and 19-year-old Kam McLeod.
Because there have been no reports of stolen vehicles, police believe the teens are still in the region.
The two have been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Leonard Dyck, as well as an Australian man and his American girlfriend.
Schmegelsky's father Alan says his 18-year-old son struggled through his parents' acrimonious split in 2005 and his main influences became video games and YouTube.
He's predicting the childhood friends will "go out in a blaze of glory'' and die in a confrontation with police.
Authorities say in the last 40 hours, there have been more than 80 tips to the RCMP.
