The Mandarin restaurant in Windsor is offering free meals to Canadian citizens on Canada Day.
The all-you-can-eat-buffet at Devonshire Mall will provide the free food from noon until 8:30pm.
Managing Partner Andy Le anticipates long lines beginning between seven and eight in the morning.
"It's going to be a first come, first serve basis and I'm expecting three and a half hour wait in front of our doors," says Le.
He says it's the restaurant's first Canada Day in Windsor, but the company has been providing free meals on Canada Day for five years.
"We just want to thank all Canadian citizens and this country Canada to provide us this great opportunity for our Canadian based company to grow in Canada," says Le.
Le says it's going to be a busy day.
"We are going to be very excited on that day," says Le. "We're going to sing O'Canada with all our waiting guests together at noon."
He says you must show your Canadian birth certificate, passport or citizenship card to receive a free meal.
Mandarin will be offering free buffets at 29 locations in Ontario.
The company is celebrating 40-years in Canada.
