Chatham-Kent Police had to act quickly after a man rushed at officers with a knife.
On Saturday officers were investigating a domestic incident involving a 31-year-old man.
Police says that same man rode past police headquarters on a bike later in the day.
The investigating officers then exited the police station and caught the man damaging a car in the parking lot with a knife.
When officers approached him, he began to run at them with the weapon and a taser was quickly deployed.
The man was arrested and remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
