Windsor police are investigating a serious electric shock.
Police say early Monday morning officers were called to an industrial building in the 6600 block of Hawthorn Drive for an injured man.
According to police, the adult male was suffering from serious injuries consistent with being electrocuted after being shocked.
The man was rushed to hospital for potentially life-threatening injuries.
Police say the investigation revealed, a fresh hole was cut in the fence leading to a nearby electrical transformer and evidence determined the man was in the process of stealing wires and metal from the business when he was electrocuted.
Police say charges are pending against the injured man. They include break and enter and possession of break and enter tools.
Windsor police are also reminding the community of the dangers associated with entering an electrical compound without authorization.
