A published report says Ford will invest $600-million into its two Windsor engine plants.
The Financial Post quotes sources who say the investment will update existing V-8 production and add assembly of a new fuel-efficient motor for large pickup trucks.
The investment is part of a tentative agreement reached with Unifor earlier this week.
Ratification votes are set for this weekend.
The company and union are not commenting until workers have reviewed and voted on the deal.
