Queen Elizabeth Public School in Leamington is about to get a lot bigger.
Trustees with the Greater Essex County District School Board have approved moving forward with a $4.8-million addition.
The 8,500-square-foot expansion will accommodate an additional 78 students while also including additional child care rooms.
Full-day kindergarten classrooms will change locations in the school, along with allowing easier drop-off and pick-up for parents.
Queen Elizabeth currently has around 550 students.
The school is located at 4 Maxon Ave. in the town.
