Mothers Against Drunk Driving Windsor-Essex County is asking the public to plan ahead this St. Patrick's Day.
Community Leader Chaouki Hamka wants everyone to have a great weekend, but he wants it to be a safe weekend.
Hamka tells AM800 News, anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs should have a sober ride home ready to go before they head out to celebrate.
"Plan ahead for a sober ride home, book an Uber, call a cab, take public transit or arrange for a designated driver. Don't accept a ride from a driver who may be impaired and call 911 if you see a driver you suspect is impaired," he says.
Vets Cab will have 180 vehicles on the road tomorrow — General Manager Walt Bezzina is asking the public to be patient and try and hail a cab if possible to free up the phone lines.
