A major baseball award for Windsor's Jake Lumley.
Lumley, a senior at Canisius College in Buffalo, has bee named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
Lumley is having a career year in his final season for the Griffins with personal bests in batting average (.358) and doubles (11). He led the MAAC in hits with 77, which ranks 61st in the U.S. He averages 1.43 hits per game.
The Canisius shortstop also made the All-MAAC first team for the second year in a row as decided by the league coaches.
The MAAC is part of the NCAA Division I.
Lumley, a Holy Names graduate, is also a former member of the Windsor Selects.
