There is no shortage of ideas when it comes to Windsor's enhanced capital budget.
As in previous years, there is $10-million in the capital budget that is set aside for projects proposed by city councillors.
Mayor Drew Dilkens asked councillors for ideas and about $30-million worth of projects were submitted for funding.
Mayor Dilkens says councillors will receive a list today of all of the projects submitted and the dollar amounts and then council will decide how the money is spent during budget deliberations next month.
"What the responsibility will be of council now is to go out and seek five other people who want to support their point of view and their project," says Dilkens.
"The whole element of politics is the art of compromise and the ability to work together. At the end of the day we all have to do that whether in politics or employee/employer, you have to work with your coworkers to get things done."
He says he heard from every city councillor.
"I think we are close to $30-million worth of projects on that list which is good because there is choice now."
Budget deliberations are set for January 23rd.
