The Windsor Minor Hockey Association is crediting a "line in the ice" for reducing major injuries.
Called a 'look up line', it's three feet from the boards and it acts as a reminder to players not to hit from behind.
Association President Dean LaPierre says there would normally have been some injuries at this point in the season. "we are positive there would have been, I think this brought awareness to the players and the parents which is what we wanted, so we are hoping it does make sure nothing major happen but we are pretty sure it does have something to do with it."
LaPierre says, while it's hard to prove the line is working, it definitely hasn't hurt the game or the players.
