The Lock Out Cancer fundraiser is hoping to raise more this year than in its first year.
This year's goal for the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation is to raise $125,000 in the month of May.
"There is lots that we can do and I think that's an important thing to remember is they (patients) do walk in desperate for our help and we are able to help them with the sound of the foundation. Without their support we would just not be able to provide world class care," says Cancer Centre Clinical Director Dr. Caroline Hamm.

Cancer patient Dawn Sobol is also a pharmacist at the cancer centre and says it's not easy fighting the disease and raising a family.
"It's definitely challenging having two little girls running around, they keep me on my toes but I think they help me get through it because they don't care if you're not feeling well. They make you get up they make you push through."
Sobol says cancer treatment is a roller coaster and says "It was a great day learning I was in remission, and beating my cancer. Unfortunately it's back, but you know I'll beat it again. A positive attitude is so important"
The funds are raised through donations as well as sale of vintage locks, and jewellery with themes of beating cancer.
