Officials from Unifor Local 444 and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers 630 are supporting striking nurses at the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit.
They went to the picket line around noon on Thursday and provided lunch for the striking members.
The unions brought pizza, pasta, salad, coffee and dessert which were all donated by local businesses.
CUPW 630 President Phil Lyons says the unions wanted to assist the striking nurses during a difficult time.
"The fact that they're going through a strike right now that looks very staged to us, you know they went back to the table yesterday for an hour," says Lyons. "We're just getting the feeling the board is not taking it very seriously and we're going to keep putting pressure on them to take them seriously and get them back to work."

Brian Zarin is with Unifor Local 444.
He says everyone is coming together to support the striking nurses.
"One of the business owners said you know what a worker is a worker and we're going to help and it's disgusting what's going on in our community right now," says Zarin. "The board should be ashamed so get back to the table, get a deal done. This stuff can be wrapped up in a couple hours so let's get it done."
Canadian Federation of Nurses' Unions (CFNU) President Linda Silas will be in Windsor on Friday to support striking health unit nurses.
More than 80 nurse practitioners, public health nurses and registered practical nurses walked off the job on March 8th after rejecting the health unit's latest offer on March 7th.
The two sides returned to the bargaining table on Wednesday but talks only lasted less than an hour.
Wages remain a key issue in the dispute.
No new talks are planned.
