The first shipments of much-needed hand sanitizer from Windsor's Hiram Walker & Sons Distillery has been delivered.
Parent company, Corby Spirit and Wine announced it would produce hand sanitizer and donate it "where needed" in Windsor, and the TTC in Toronto.
Windsor's Village of Aspen Lake nursing home received the first load Saturday morning, with the help of Unifor Locals from throughout Essex County.
Local 444 President Dave Cassidy says it was an honour.
"All this hand sanitizer ... we're going out to all the facilities like nursing homes and long-term care homes," he says. "What a great thing this is."
