More than 500 secondary students in Windsor-Essex have a better idea what they would like to do after high school.
The students attended the third annual "Youth Career Fair" at L'Essor High School on Thursday.
It was put on by the Town of Tecumseh.
Committee and Community Services Manager Christina Hebert says students had a chance to talk to local businesses and organizations.
They also learned about developing the necessary skills to obtain employment in their chosen field.
Hebert says students from l'Essor, St. Anne's, St. Joe's and Catholic Central all attended the job fair.
"We had well over 500 students that came through and were able to interact and dialog with a wide variety of businesses and local organizations on job opportunities that are available for them and different career paths that are out there in this area," says Hebert.
She says there were a number of employers taking part in the career fair.
"Ontario Provincial Police or the Canadian Mould Makers Association, Canada Border Services," says Hebert. "We have a wide range of vendors that participated to really give students an opportunity to network and dialog with them, to have a better understanding what that particular career path looks like."
Hebert says the career fair has grown in three-years.
"We have been so fortunate to have the support of our local businesses and organizations in Windsor Essex County," says Hebert. "We appreciate their time in being there each year. We've been able to grow the number of participating businesses and organizations."
Hebert adds a goal of the career fair was to give students greater knowledge for their career paths.
