The owner of a local sports bar is getting ready for Sunday's Detroit Lions game.
Gregg Schooley owns The 519 BeerHouse on Tecumseh Road East near Banwell Road and says the bar is expecting an exciting Sunday.
"It was a shaker last weekend and we're looking for a big shaker this weekend," says Schooley. "Everybody is pumped for the Lions as everybody is in Windsor and the 519 area, so it should be a good time. We're looking forward to, people are already calling in and reserving seats so I'm very excited about the weekend, that's for sure."
He says the bar opened last October.
"We have 14 tvs, we got rid of the old booths, we got stand up tables which everybody enjoys that way you can walk around and socialize with everybody around the bar and tell them how great the Lions are," he says.
Schooley says it was fun time at the bar last Sunday.
"Every single down, every fan watched and cheered," says Schooley. "It was really exhilarating."
The location was previously known as Sir Richard's Wine and Ale House and was owned by another operator.
The Lions host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Divisional Round Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. at Ford Field.
The 519 BeerHouse opens at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
