A local Rotarian has received a prestigious honour.
Neil McBeth, a member of the Rotary Club of Essex, has received the "Distinguished Service Award" from the Rotary Foundation.
No more than 50 awards are presented each year out of a membership of 1.2 million Rotarians worldwide.
The award is presented to a Rotarian who has given exceptional service over an extended period of time.
McBeth was given the award to recognize his 33 years of service to the rotary foundation.
