A local restaurant is honouring veterans this Remembrance Day.
The Goat Tap and Eatery in LaSalle and Lakeshore will be offering a free entree to all past and present military personnel.
Co-owner Matt Komsa says his company started offering the free meal after one of his staff member's grandfather, who was a veteran, passed away.
He says the event honours Herb Jones.
"It's just a great feeling, it's such a small way to give back for such a huge sacrifice but we do what we can do and we're just truly thankful for everything that we have," says Komsa.
Komsa says it's a way for his restaurant to give back.
"I think it's something you'll see us do for as long as we're in the business and it's just a very small way of saying thank-you to their sacrifice," says Komsa.

He says it's a chance for his staff to say thank you as well.
"The food is secondary, just being able to shake some hands and face to face thank-you's, you don't get a chance to do that very often on Remembrance Day or just everyday," says Komsa. "So I think it's just a little extra special day and we should all be aware of their sacrifice."
Komsa says American veterans are welcomed to come out as well.
The free meal will be served during dinner service.
