A board member for the Windsor-West Progressive Conservatives Riding Association believes the next leader of the party needs to advocate for Windsor and region.
Al Teshuba says Patrick Brown was a big supporter of Windsor and knew the issues impacting the community.
"We know his loyalties are to Windsor and he knows the issues very well, building up the party," says Teshuba. "He's been here a dozen of times for Windsor. So it would have been very easy for Patrick Brown to already be caught up as premier to know about our Windsor issues."

He says it's sad to lose Brown but the local associations and candidates are ready to move forward and work with the new leader.
"Whoever the leader is we're going to make sure that PC leader is going to know about the issues of Windsor and have that as on the radar as part of the policy when they form government to advocate for our issues and make Windsor a better place," says Teshuba.
Brown announced on Monday he was withdrawing his name from the PC leadership race
There are now four candidates in the leadership race, Doug Ford, Christine Elliott, Caroline Mulroney and Tanya Granic Allen.
The PC's will pick a new leader on March 10.
