Essex MPP Taras Natyshak is calling out the Progressive Conservatives.
"It's a straight up broken promise from Doug Ford and the Ontario Conservative government," says Natyshak.
Natyshak feels Doug Ford and the Conservatives lied to the community during the election about widening Highway 3 immediately.
As heard on AM800 news on Monday, local mayors and officials sat down with the province's Transportation Minister and were told the highway is a priority but it could take two years to move on it.
Natyshak feels the community deserves better.
"They're handling that project the same way the previous Liberal government did with disregard to our community, to the safety and viability of the project and to the economic need for that project," says Natyshak.
The minister met with local officials at the AMO conference.
The local representatives continue to push for the expansion of the highway from Essex to Leamington.
