It's a dream come true for a LaSalle teen.
"This is definitely the highlight of my dancing career," says Morgan Muzzatti, the 19-year-old returning home from competing in the World Championship of Irish Dance in Dublin.
She represented Canada at the competition and competed against some of the best dancers in the world.
"I am so proud of myself for all the hard work that I put in, it was such a tough tough competition, I was dancing with the world champion so not exactly the best kind of luck for the first worlds out there but I'm still very proud with what I was able to accomplish," says Muzzatti.
She says she was comfortable with her Ireland surroundings.
"I got there the week before so I had to adjust to the Ireland time change but after the week of practicing and getting used to the floor there and being in that time zone I was completely focused and ready for the performance of the year," says Muzzatti.
A return to the competition is something she's hoping to make happen.
"I have been trying and striving to achieve this goal since I was a wee little baby so this is definitely an amazing goal for myself and only one percent of dancers are able to achieve this goal in their dancing career so I'm very happy to be apart of that one percent," says Muzzatti.
Muzzatti headed to Dublin where she competed in April.
Muzzatti qualified for the worlds after winning the Eastern Canadian Championship of Irish Dance in the Under-19 Ladies category.
