A boost for 17 charities in Windsor-Essex.
The charities will be receiving bags filled of food and toiletry items this week, thanks to the 13th annual Share the Spirit of Ramadan Food Drive.
The items were packed on Monday by volunteers at the Real Canadian Superstore on Walker Road.
Food drive co-ordinator Sousan Khaled says more than 1400 bags will be donated this year.
She says June's fundraiser was record breaking.
"We smashed the record this year which was 1350 back in 2016 bags of food and toiletry items to be donated to 17 charities around Windsor and we are at 1425 bags," says Khaled. "It's amazing."

She adds the bags are filled with 14 items.
"Things like pasta, pasta sauce, cereals, vegetables, fruit, tuna," says Khaled. "The toiletry items would include soap and toothpaste."
The food drive was held in early June at Devonshire Mall.
More than 14,000 bags have been donated over the past 13 food drives.
