The one-year anniversary of the Danforth Shooting in Toronto is quickly approaching.
The fatal shooting occurred on July 22, 2018 in the Greektown neighbourhood which left two people dead and 13 injured.
Teal Bolleyn is a crisis-trained chaplain for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association of Canada Rapid Response Team Ministry.
The 45-year-old Cottam native is in Toronto this weekend to offer emotional and spiritual support.
"I will be there just to support, families of the victims and the community of the Danforth shooting. My job is just to listen, to be there, to pray with people, to be a shoulder to cry on," says Bolleyn.

She says her job isn't always easy but it's an honour to be there.
"To talk to a young girl who probably in her early 20's and she's saying I'm afraid to just walk down the street, I'd whether go down an alley way then walk in my own home area," says Bolleyn. "It's an honour to be there and such a privilege."
Bolleyn says she also attended the area last year after the shooting.
The Danforth shooter, Faisal Hussain, took his own life after a shootout with Toronto Police.
