The Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board officially passed its 2018-19 budget Monday night — it's first balanced budget in years after seeing its enrolment picture improve.
Enrolment jumped by 106 pupils at the board — a boost Board Chair Barb Holland attributed to an influx of international students.
The budget is pegged at $259.7-million thanks to shifting over $1.16-million from the board's accumulated surplus reserve which is expected to sit at just over $13.2-million at the end of the 2017-18 school year.
