Crime Stoppers of Windsor-Essex is launching a new program in hopes of making some new connections in the community.
The Business Plaque Program encourages businesses to make a 5-year commitment to donate $200 per year.
In return, the business will receive a plaque to show they support the Crime Stoppers Program.
Police Co-ordinator Constable Kristina Gilboe says it's a program worth supporting because it helps make the community safer. "In 2016 a significant amount of arrests were made, 94 in fact, 110 cases cleared and a large quantity, $800,000 worth of drugs seized and taken off the road."
Businesses that want to help out should contact the Crime Stoppers program manager.
