A local brewery has earned some hardware at the 2018 Canadian Brewing Awards.
The Grove Brew House in Kingsville took home multiple honours in its first year of operation — a silver medal for their Westcott Cream Ale and a bronze medal for its Paradise Lager.
Head Brewer, Donovan McFadden says it was an honour.
I knew they were good beers going, they are big categories so we had no idea where we would end up," says McFadden.
He says it's a lot of work but it's worth it, adding "you don't get to punch out at 5, you're here until the brew is done and it's a lot of work but there's a good reward at the end of the day, in a glass."
Also at the awards, Walkerville Brewery took home two gold and a silver and Tecumseh's Frank Brewing followed up last year's gold medal with a silver for its Cream Ale.
