Loaded Gun, 27lbs of Marijuana, 50k Cash Seized By Windsor Police

It follows a drug trafficking investigation by Windsor police

A loaded gun and drugs have been seized in a drug trafficking investigation by Windsor police.

Search warrants were executed at a home on Patrick Ave and a number of storage lockers at two separate businesses Tuesday at 2:30pm.

Police located a vehicle associated with the investigation on Pelissier.  Police tried to stop the vehicle but it swerved around officers and fled at a high rate of speed.

The suspect was then spotted on foot carrying a gun near Dougall Ave and Erie St.

He ran through some backyards and officers were able to catch up with him and arrest him.

Officers found a loaded gun in a backyard believed to have been thrown by the suspect.

Another man was arrested on Silverdale Drive.

Police seized a loaded 9mm Smith and Wesson handgun, 27lbs of marijuana, 2.3 grams of Methamphetamine, cocaine and $50,000 in cash.

23-year-old Kanwarpal Kular of Windsor is charged with several drug and weapons offences including unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a loaded firearm.

21-year-old Abdul Pugganwala of Windsor is charged with two counts of possession of marijuana.
