A Windsor fan of the Detroit Red Wings who was kicked out of the home opener at Little Caesars Arena has had his day in court.
Nick Horvath received a $225 fine and must stay out of trouble for 12 months for disorderly conduct.
Security staff escorted Horvath out of the arena in October after he threw an octopus onto the ice.
Initially, he thought he was getting a lifetime ban from the rink, but that was never the case.
Horvath tells AM800 News, he's glad it is over.
"Great, I'm happy, not about the fine or the pay, but I'm glad it is coming to an end," says Horvath.
He says he has learned his lesson.
"I will never do it again," says Horvath. "I'm retiring on top from octopus throwing but I think someone will do it in the future."
Horvath said he was thinking about going to a Red Wings game in December but he may wait the 12 months before returning to the LCA.
