The Lions kick off preseason game three against the Buccaneers in Tampa tonight.
Teams usually use the third preseason game as a dress rehearsal for the regular season and starters will log more playing time than in the first two games.
Detroit, 2-0 in exhibition play, had joint practices with Oakland in California ahead of their matchup August 10th and then with the New York Giants before their game last week at Ford Field.
Head coach Matt Patricia said the team has had watch film this week to see if there's anything they can pick up that gives them an advantage, so it's been more of a regular season mind set as the team prepares to take on Tampa.
The LIons have acquired linebacker Eli Harold in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers for a future undisclosed draft pick.
Harold was drafted by the 49ers in 2015 and has 84 tackles, 57 solo, five sacks, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble in 48 games with San Francisco.
Detroit also announced that they have waived defensive lineman JoJo Wicker.
