Football season is near.
The Detroit Lions will hold their first full practice of training camp today at their facility in Allen Park.
Rookies have been in camp since last week and veterans reported yesterday.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford said that even though he is entering his 10th season in the NFL he is always trying to find a way to be better.
In other Lions news, linebacker Devon Kennard and defensive end Cornelius Washington are on the non-football injury list.
Detroit also announced yesterday that they have signed free agent linebacker Darnell Sankey.
He appeared in six games with the Indianapolis Colts last season and ended the year on the Baltimore Ravens practice squad.
The Lions have also waived linebacker Al-Rasheed Benton and offensive lineman Beau Nunn.
