The Windsor Spitfires are going with a familiar face as their next head coach.
Trevor Letowski spent the past two seasons as the team's associate coach.
The 40-year-old coached with the Sarnia Sting for six seasons — where he also spent his entire OHL playing career.
Letowski played in 600 NHL games with stops in Phoenix, Columbus, Vancouver and Carolina.
He replaces Rocky Thompson who left last week to take an AHL coaching job with the Chicago Wolves (affiliate of the NHL expansion Las Vegas Golden Knights).
Letowski and Spits General Manager Warren Rychel will hold a news conference tomorrow.
