Leamington Town Council shelved a decision on its Uptown Master Plan Monday night.
Council voted to defer the project after several councilors expressed the need for more time to review the extensive report.
The plan to widen and replace sidewalks, replace streetlights, install bike lanes, landscaping and general beautification along Mill St. W, Queens Ave, Talbot St, Erie St, Fox St and Victoria St. is expected to cost more than $7.4-million.
Mayor John Patterson tells AM800 news the plan will come back to council or be presented at a special meeting before the end of the month.
