A boost for Leamington to help with public transit.
The town is getting over $470,000 through the province's Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program to be used for commuter-friendly projects.
MPP Rick Nicholls made the announcement Tuesday which also included $3.6-million for transit in Chatham-Kent.
Nicholls says transit is one of the most common concerns he hears about in the riding and says the funds will help ensure residents can get to their jobs at greenhouses, refineries and farms.
The money comes in addition to $620,000 handed to Leamington last week through the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing for infrastructure.
