An alleged stabbing in Leamington has landed an Amherstburg man in hot water.
On Monday evening at around 6pm, OPP were called a parking lot on Forest Ave for an assault.
Officers arrived to find a 37-year-old Leamington woman who was reportedly stabbed by a man who then fled the scene.
The female victim was taken to hospital where she was treated for serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Shortly after, police tracked down the suspect driving in the area of County Rd. 18 and Howard Ave.
A 44-year-old Amherstburg man was arrested and charged, but police say the investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
