A Leamington man accusing of threatening Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been released from custody.

A bail hearing took place Wednesday for 60-year-old Royce VanEvery and the judge approved his release.

As you heard first on AM800 last week, VanEvery was arraigned on a charge of uttering threats against the prime minister ahead of Trudeau's visit to Leamington.

A publication ban is in place.
