Leamington is looking to enhance is waterfront.
The municipality has launched its Waterfront Destination Master Plan.
The plan can be found online and is a visionary document that's intended to guide the transformation of the waterfront into a mixed use, pedestrian-focused community and visitor destination.
Mayor Hilda MacDonald says public feedback is needed.
"Looking for ideas, looking for what the residents of the municipality see as what they like to see in the future," says MacDonald. "It's all well and good for council and administration to have some ideas, public input is always welcomed."
She says the municipality wants to make the waterfront another destination spot in Leamington.
"We feel we need to have a plan instead of just hit and miss ideas that don't have any continuous theme going throughout," says MacDonald.
MacDonald says the town wants to build on its existing foundation along the waterfront that includes Sunset Stadium, Lakeside Marina and the ferry connections to Pelee Island.
She says Leamington is working with consultants on the master plan and expects the plan will be discussed during 2021 budget deliberations.
The study and survey can be found on the town's website.
