If you live in Leamington, your property taxes are going up.
Leamington town council has approved its 2017 budget which includes a 1.8% tax increase.
It will mean an extra $35.86 on a home assessed at $175,000.
The budget includes $35.6-million in capital projects which is an increase of $13.7-million over last year's budget.
Leamington Mayor John Paterson says the budget helps to ensure an improved quality of life for residents and a great Leamington experience for visitors.
Some budget highlights include money for the Pelee Drive/Bevel Line sanitary sewer project, the creation of beach volleyball courts at Seacliffe Beach and some attention on Uptown revitalization.
