In the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League the Leamington Flyers defeated the Rockets 5-2 in Strathroy.
It was a 1-1 game after a period and the rest of the scoring took place in the second, with no goals at all in the third period.
Mark Gangnon had the game-winner for the Flyers 8:47 into the middle period.
Scott Florence, Blake Bain, Connor Morrison, and Brett Vorshuk added the other Leamington goals.
Steve Griggs had both goals for the Rockets.
