James van Riemsdyk's third-period goal helped the Maple Leafs edge Buffalo 4-3 at Air Canada Centre.
Toronto earned its third win in a row while improving to 9-1-1 in the past 11 games.
Leo Komarov, Windsor native Matt Martin and Auston Matthews scored the other goals for the Leafs, while Frederik Andersen made 24 saves for his 19th win of the season.
The Leafs lost number-one defenceman Morgan Rielly to injury.
Rielly suffered a lower body injury in the first period and head coach Mike Babcock had no update on Rielly after the game, but says his potential loss would have an impact.
