LCBO workers have ratified a new contract by a slim margin of just 56%.
The agreement covering some 8,000 members of OPSEU was signed in late June just ahead of a potential strike or lockout.
The union says the new agreement limits casual workers at the LCBO at 70% from the current 84%, and commits the agency to reach that 70% mark within the life of the four-year contract.
Officials with OPSEU say the deal also increases job security, improves scheduling, and stops a practice of scheduling workers for two-hour shifts.
LCBO workers had been without a contract since the end of March.
