A settlement has been reached between the London diocese and three local men who claim they were sexually abused by former Priest Linus Bastein back in the 1970's.
Bastien — who died in 2016 — was accused of abusing a total of 12 boys, when he served at three local churches — St. Joachim Parish in Lakeshore, St. Mary's Parish in Maidstone
and St. Paul/St. Charles Parish in the former Township of Tilbury East.
As reported on CTV Windsor, the settlement totals $400,000 — to be shared by the three men.
Another five lawsuits are still before the courts.
