A late push wasn't enough for the Windsor Spitfires to hold off the Bulldogs in Hamilton Saturday.

Windsor struck first on Cole Purboo's 11th goal of the season just 20-seconds into the game, but Navrin Mutter tied things up just minutes later to send both teams to the locker room tied 1-1.

Mackenzie Entwistle would be a one-man wrecking-crew in the second, scoring two powerplay goals to stake Hamilton to a 3-1 lead heading into the third.

The Spitfires would pour it on in the third, outshooting Hamilton 13-2, but it wasn't enough. Curtis Douglas would beat Nick Donofrio to make things interesting, but the Bulldogs held on for a 3-2 win on home ice.

Michael DiPietro stopped 20 of the 23 shots he faced in the loss.
